CARE STAFF

Learn how to safely avoid, defuse, de-escalate and deal with physical incidents in a care or special needs education setting, involving children and vulnerable adults.

Our highly effective restraint techniques have been risk assessed, legally audited by a barrister-at-law and comply with current legislation. All courses and techniques are constantly evaluated to ensure that they are up to date and in line with current best practice.

Our education courses are taught by an expert with over 35 years experience in the education sector, and most are available as Awarding Body awards if required.

1 Day Physical Restraint and Disengagement - Care & Control

This 1 Day Course for care home and special needs staff who may have to touch, or use force with, vulnerable adults, children, and those with special needs. Remember: if it is foreseeable that your staff may need to use physical intervention and you do not provide them training for this part of their job, you could potentially be found negligent. Get Safe!

2 Day Physical Restraint (Care & Control) for staff working with Children, Young People, and Vulnerable Adults

This 2 day course provides a wider range of physical intervention skills to those more likely to need to deal with and restrain those who could display violent and aggressive behaviour. Many of the tragic incidents that have occured in care over the past decade were completely avoidable - learn how to help keep your staff and service users safe.

3 Day Physical Restraint, Intervention and De-escalation

The 3 day restraint course is for staff who are expected to restrain at work. If it is part of their job, they must be trained!

1 Day Breakaway & Self-Defence

This course is designed for those who are not expected to restrain or intervene, but could potentially find themselves the focus of aggression from service users.

Learn how to defuse and de-escalate incidents, and break away from aggression.

2 Hour Twilight Session - Use of Force in Care

Do your carers really understand what counts as 'force' and what doesn't? You may be suprised. This short twilight session for all carers covers the basic things that everyone in care should know about the use of force with children, young people, and vulnerable adults. Some carers have potentially dangerous misconceptions about what they can, and can't do. Do yours?
